What the job is actually like
A small crew,
not a big machine.
You will know everybody you work with by name, including the owner, because he is on jobs too.
Nobody here is a number on a schedule that somebody in an office made up.
Work all year, not just in summer
A lot of landscaping jobs around here end in November and start again in April. Ours do not.
Junk removal and hauling runs straight through, and snow work fills the coldest weeks. The
calendar is built so the crew keeps working.
You are home every night
Everything we do is inside about thirty miles of King of Prussia. Montgomery, Chester and
Delaware counties, the Main Line, the river towns. No travel crews, no overnights, no
three hour drive to a job site.
The day ends when the day ends
We run Monday to Saturday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. Storms and snow are the exception and everybody
knows that going in, but the normal week is a normal week.
You learn real skills, not one motion
In one season you can end up cutting, edging, running a blower, planting, setting mulch depth,
reading a bed line, loading a truck safely and running a route. That is a trade, and it travels
with you wherever you go next.
The variety keeps it interesting
Different property every couple of hours. A hedge install, a garage cleanout, a fall
leaf haul, a driveway at five in the morning after a storm. Nobody is standing in the same
square of ground for eight hours.
Good work gets noticed here
On a crew this size, if you show up, work clean and look after the equipment, everybody sees it
immediately. There is no layer of management between you and the person who decides things.
